ALTO PROFESSIONAL EXTENDS TOURMAX SPEAKER LINE
Two New 3-way Speakers Added to Line of Pro-grade, Affordable Back-Line Sound
Cumberland, R.I. (Feb. 1, 2011) – Alto Professional, the pinnacle of live performance reinforcement, announces two new TOURMAX passive loudspeakers. The SX153 and SX254 join the rest of the TOURMAX line introduced at last month’s Winter NAMM show. Alto Professional will unveil the TOURMAX SX153 and SX254 at booth #6J144 of the 2011 ISE Show from February 1-3, Amsterdam RAI, NL.
TOURMAX delivers a backline that will endure the rigors of heavy use night after night, while maintaining a sound that is loud and clear. Designed to deliver uncompromised accuracy, TOURMAX speakers offer a remarkably true representation of the audio passing through them, rather than emphasizing certain frequency ranges for effect. This allows musicians and engineers the freedom to sculpt the sound from scratch or simply project the audio without any colorization. TOURMAX speakers have rugged, wood cabinets made of 13mm Baltic Birch that are ready for the constant abuse that stage monitors endure on a daily basis. Whether on stage in a club, in a rehearsal room, on the road or in a house of worship, TOURMAX speakers provide fantastic sound for a remarkable value.
Unlike the existing speakers in the TOURMAX line, the new SX153 and SX254 speakers feature 3-way, 15†design. The SX153 is a passive 3-way 15†speaker cabinet capable of handling 350 watts RMS, 700 watts Program and 1400 watts Peak. It has a single 15’ low-frequency driver, an 8†mid and 1’ high-frequency driver. The SX254 hosts two 15†Low-frequency drivers, an 8†mid and 1†high-frequency driver. The SX254 is also a passive 3-way speaker cabinet and handles 700 watts RMS, 1400 watts Program and 2800 watts Peak.
“TOURMAX offers complete backline support for clubs, bands, and mobile DJ’s alike,†said John McCune, Product Manager, Alto Professional. “The new 3-way models mean there is now a TOURMAX speaker for gigs of any size, and at an unbeatable price.â€
TOURMAX speakers will be available from music and pro audio retailers in Q1 2011.
